WESTERN MINERAL FERTILISERS APPOINTS NEW FIELD ADVISOR

Don Clarke has been announced as the latest addition to the growing Western Mineral Fertilisers group.

Mr Clarke was most recently at Ravensdown Fertiliser WA but now takes on the role of field advisor.

“I am thrilled to join Western Mineral Fertilisers as I believe the company’s biological farming products and programs are the future of farming at a time when change is critical,” said Mr Clarke.

The Narembeen farmer is a graduate of Narrogin Agricultural College and a former shearer, and was in 1995 elected as a member of United Farmers’ board of directors.

Western Mineral Fertilisers has just won the 2010 Western Australian Industry and Export Award for Innovation Excellence which follows on from its success at the Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s 2010 Business Awards where it won three awards.

Managing director Stephen Frost said he was pleased Mr Clarke had sought out a role with the company.

“Don has an incredible amount of passion for our biological farming methods and understands the vital role we are playing in helping farmers switch to a system that gives them increased crop security, particularly in challenging years such as this so we are very pleased to have him on board,” he said.
